The Northern Territory Government provides a stamp duty concession to persons purchasing a home or land on to build a home that is to be their principal place of residence. The concession is available to all persons other than those eligible for the stamp duty First Home Owner Concession.
The scheme is not means tested and the concession represents an amount of up to $2 500 off the duty payable.
Territory Revenue Office administers the scheme.
